Dr. Paredes is an anthropologist, an author and shaman born in Cusco, Peru. He has been following the Shamanic path from a very early age. At this time, he and a team of anthropologists, have discovered a lost Inca citadel hidden high in the cloud forests of the Machu Picchu Park called Kantupata. The study of these ancient architectural designs are important to understand the complexities of the Incas who reached high levels of consciousness in their attempt to benefit society and future generations to ensure their wellbeing by living in harmony with the Earth. This picture of the Hawk was taken at Lake Titicaca in Peru. He had been hurt and the natives took care of him since he was a baby. In his long process of healing he never learned to fly and was kept tied for safety. The rope was long and allowed him to take short flights into the lake and to feed. I wanted to bring him home with me. He was so amazingly beautiful and regal. He is my totem and I honor the Hawk.
The Hawk is the symbol of a new beginning and a new dawn. These qualities enable the seer to travel back through the pathways of time, helping to connect us with our roots and ancestral wisdom. The Hawk is known for his keen eyes, bringing with him the ability to pay very close attention to details and putting one's life into perspective. He help us to let go of the past by cleansing unnecessary burdens with a sense of pride and nobility.

Our dear shaman and teacher from Peru will be teaching a four-part course in the Art of Living. In his teachings we access new knowledge to create and manifest change in our lives. We explore the domains of Thinking, Feeling and Being and the interplay of these energies to restore harmony and balance in our lives. We inquire and follow key concepts of quantum physics that teach us that we are one with our universe, and that we are inextricably connected by an Energy Field. This course is open to those who have worked with Dr. Paredes in the past or have had experience with Andean shamanism.

Elizabeth & Eve Bruce were initiated into the Quechua Birdpeople, the Andean Circle of Yachaks. Since that time over a decade ago, they have joyously taught shamanism together. Elizabeth, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine and of Peruvian descent and Eve, a surgeon from Africa of Irish descent, bring together the medicines of the four directions. Together they are dedicated to empowering each participant to find their own unique spiritual contribution to our Mother Earth.

This course in Andean Shamanism is offered to healers and to those on the path of personal transformation. In a sacred space we open to the mysteries and the teachings of the Inca path and other ancient traditions. We work with our limited beliefs and our old experiences that cause suffering to experience new possibilities. We apply new paradigms of seeing and feeling to increase our presence and intuition to explore and learn the ways of ancient shamanic healing. The work involves meditations, shamanic journeys, group work, homework and group practice outside the class.
We form a very strong community awareness based on the concept of "ayni" or reciprocity and the acceptance and respect of one another's spiritual journey while here on this great Pachamama our Mother Earth. The course is intense and transformative. We require a strong commitment to the work involved. Classes in Baltimore,MD.

Humans are the caretakers of Kausay Pacha or LifeForce, at the same time that we fuel ourselves from it.
